There are numerous tips and advice that have been learnt over the years. It is these types of invaluable pieces of information that will help ensure that your wedding runs smoothly from start to finish allowing you to concentrate on enjoying your special day.
- Invitations should be posted around eight to twelve weeks before the big day. However if you are getting married over a busy holiday period it is advisable to send them earlier or to send 'save the date' cards, so that people can put your big day in their diary.
- When sending out invites ask guests to let you know any special dietary requests. It is best to know in advance rather than on your wedding day.
- Always try and see your band live before booking them. Although they may sound good on their recorded demo, it is important to see them perform and will let you see how they dress, how they interact and you will get a real feel for their personality. A good band can really add to the wedding.
- Some venues do not allow the use of confetti so make sure that you check with your church, register office or hotel. Some might prefer you to use rice or sugar paper.
- Let the wedding car people know the colour scheme for the day, so that they can coordinate the car ribbons & flowers
- Don't forget to enjoy yourself, not just on the day itself, but also in the run up to your Wedding. It may be advisable to enlist the service of a professional wedding coordinator to ensure that you can relax and enjoy the most important day of your life.
